the first option is to park in rue Sébastien Gryphe. Be careful though, parking there is not free. You'll have to pay around 2€/hour from 8am to 7pm. Backpackers, no worries, you can have a 15-minute free ticket to come and check-in your luggages at reception. Quieter and less crowded but still not free : rue Mazagran, just behind the hostel. This street goes to the orange square next to le Flâneur, you can't miss it. And finally, for 15€/day, people with reduced mobility and/or wheelchairs can have a parking spot in our yard (see reception for more information).
For the adventurers
You can easily park a few hundred meters away from le Flâneur around Jean Macé train station -and it's cheaper too !
Also, you might want to enjoy the car-parks in the city: Gorge de Loup, Gare de Vaise, Mermoz-Pinel, etc. It's free if you use public transport during the day. More information on the TCL website.
The airport is not that close to Lyon but it's an easy ride !
le Rhônexpress is the official shuttle to the airport from the city (and back). It's easy, quick and a really smooth ride. We must warn you, though : it's quite pricey. For around 30€ return, tranquility has a price.
The shuttle departs from the SNCF station Lyon Saint-Exupéry (follow the tracks). It goes to Lyon Part-Dieu station from which you take the metro line B (dir. Gare d'Oullins) and stop at Saxe-Gambetta. From there, it's a ten-minute walk to 56 rue Sébastien Gryphe 69007 !
The scenic route
City public transportation (TCL) is a good and cheap alternative to the Rhônexpress but it might take a little more time.
The bus line 47 has 3 stops at the airport (including one at the train station). From the airport, take the bus to the end of the line Mézieu ZI and then take the tramway line T3 to stop on the other side: Lyon Part-Dieu train station.
The hard part is behind you. From the station, you take the metro line B (dir. Gare d'Oullins) and stop at Saxe-Gambetta. From there, it's a ten-minute walk to 56 rue Sébastien Gryphe 69007 !
