Cooperative

Le Flâneur is a youth hostel and the first of its kind to operate on a shared management basis. Since 2015, the cooperative has been in charge of running the operations and making decisions. Le Flâneur belongs to its employees, without any external agents intervening and only thinking about one thing: pleasing their shareholders. Here, we are the shareholders!

Solidarity

Since its inception, Le Flâneur has made it a point of honor to offer affordable prices to all audiences. Whether it's for coffee or an overnight stay, we maintain the same prices all year round. In 8 years, accommodation prices have increased twice in recent years due to inflation and the rising cost of living. Le Flâneur is also a partner of the association l'Ouvre Porte through its program Nuits Suspendues, as well as with the associations La Cloche and Entourage!

Evolutive

Le Flâneur Guesthouse is not a static hostel. Initially made of bits and pieces, the team gradually made the place their own, turning it into a friendly and mixed living space where neighbors, passing travelers, and students come together for a coffee. The walls are constantly shifting, new ideas are tested on the spot, and there is no room for immobility. We take the pulse of Le Flâneur every day to create a place that evolves with life.

Inclusive

No one is left out at Le Flâneur and everyone is welcome. We work together to create an inclusive living space where everyone feels safe, welcome, and respected. Whether it's the staff, hostel residents, café clients, or passersby, respect for everyone and communication are our priorities. We are all human beings first and foremost. We do not tolerate any lack of social etiquette or disrespect. We are all creating Le Flâneur together; let's make sure it feels like home :)

Bar, café, inn, meeting place, third place, meeting room, and maybe even one day a riding center, Le Flâneur is open every day, rain or shine. We welcome you to sleep for less in the most beautiful city in France (and the world, let's be serious for two minutes) and have a drink on a little cloud. Alone, as a couple, with friends, traveling, or on a business trip, we have what you need: a living space where it is good to stroll.

Plus, our prices are FIXED and do not fluctuate from one day to the next!
